Theresa Schaad

Morning Show Host

Birthday: March 13th

Family: Husband Jim, teenagers Josselyn and Nathan.  We live on a small ranch, grow gardens, raise cows, sheep, chickens, and we have a couple of dogs and cats.

Background: I was born and raised mostly in Michigan (loved those Great lakes and 4 seasons!) I also spent a bit of time in Florida and North Dakota and ended up in California in 1983, where the Lord saved me as a young adult.

We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a New Year full of the blessings of the
Lord!

Radio History: My high school shared a part time "Teen Station" with two other schools and we broadcast live over the air 3-6pm weekdays.  It was pretty exciting back then to spin records and make our own radio newscasts and station breaks.  I never dreamt, I would end up at a "real" station someday!  I started out as an overnight volunteer at KYCC Radio in 1989 and have worked a variety of on-air shifts, as well as production work over the years.  I thank God for the opportunity of bringing you the best in Christian music and helping you to get going in the morning!

Favorite Music/Artists: Well, it depends on what I'm doing.  For me, it's Southern Gospel while driving,

Contemporary or Pop/Rock while cleaning or walking and Praise & Worship while praying and/or reading.  I've also had the opportunity to meet several artists including the Katinas, PCD, Russ Taff, Michelle Tumes and Ray Boltz.

About Me: (or who I am): I am an old-fashioned wife and mom at heart.  My first priority is my family.  I love to cook and bake and try new recipes, usually with my family inside our kitchen .  Among my specialties are homemade jams and pies.  Reading is also a favorite past time of mine.  I usually have more than one book going at a time, the challenge is finding the time!  I also enjoy sewing, learning to use my computer and hanging out with my family.
