Sherrie was born and raised in Stockton, the oldest of five children. A country girl at heart, she has fond memories of being raised on a ranch and owning her own pony by the time she was seven. Her parents, Kenneth and Joy Haney, have been strong Christian influences in her life.

She worked at KYCC from 1986 to 1995, the last eight of those years as Morning Host. From 1995 to 2007 she lived in Los Angeles; Alexandria, Louisiana; and Nashville, Tennessee. She returned to Stockton in 2007 and rejoined the KYCC staff as Afternoon Host.

She has served on the KYCC Music Panel since her return, and earlier this year became Music Director. She also helps with production and hosts Weekend Celebration on Sunday middays.

She has directed the Christian Life Center Kingdom Kids Choir since September 2007 and loves working with kids. She also loves gardening, cooking, thrift stores, the ocean and spending time with family. Most of all she loves being a mom, and is the proud mother of two boys, Dylan 10, and Dawson, 3.

Her favorite scripture is Psalm 37:4-5: "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass."
