KYCC Changes Name of Fundraiser
After careful consideration, KYCC has decided to change the name of its October fundraiser.
Since 1985, the event has been called "The Friends and Family Reunion." Starting this year, we will simply refer to it as "The Fall Pledge Drive."
The purpose of the Drive will be to raise our 2011 operating budget of $600,000. We will be asking listeners to become Monthly Companions of the ministry, pledging to support us monthly with their finances to keep this listener-supported station on the air for another year.
The Drive is scheduled to begin October 7, and will feature many significant improvements from Reunions of previous years. Because of the many changes in the works, we decided to rename the entire event.
We are also thrilled to announce that joining us will be Dick Jenkins, who for many years served as President of EMF Broadcasting, one of the largest Christian music networks in the country. Dick has conducted countless pledge drives on behalf of Christian radio and will be helping us behind the scenes. We look forward to having Dick bring his expertise to the Drive.
